Retreat Question & Answer

The annual NEI Women's Retreat is a highlighted, well attended event for the NEI District. We can only imagine the questions that you might have, so we've provided an easy to use Question and Answer Guide to assist you in finding the information you need. If you can't find your answer, feel free to contact us!

Question: I registered for retreat but I am unable to attend. What do I do?

Answer: Registrations are non-refundable but are transferable! Finding someone else to take your place will help recoup your expenses.

Question: Is there childcare provided?

Answer: Unfortunately, we are unable to provide childcare. While we love children, please understand that this event is intended for 16 and up. Mother's who are still nursing are encouraged to bring baby with them.

Question: What does the retreat schedule look like?

Answer: The retreat schedule will look like this:

3 PM Registration-Lobby A

7 PM Friday Banquet & Session 1- Marquis Ballroom

9 AM Saturday Morning Session 2- Marquis Ballroom

12:30 PM Lunch- Marquis Ballroom

1 PM Afternoon Session 3- Marquis Ballroom

3 PM Dismiss and Go Home!

Question: What will we be eating for Friday dinner and Saturday lunch?

Answer: Click on the Lunch & Dinner page for the full menu

Question: What should I bring to the retreat with me?

Answer: Bring your Bible, notepad, pen, snacks for your room, $10 for the Hotel breakfast or other breakfast items, and extra cash for the Good Steward Bookstore.

Question: Is breakfast included in my registration or hotel fees?

Answer: No, breakfast is not included. The Hotel Restaurant offers a hot breakfast buffet for $10 (includes tax & tip). You may purchase a ticket at hotel lobby desk when you check-in. Room service is available. There are also a variety of area restaurants and fast food establishments. 

Question: Will we have free time? What should we do during our free time?

Answer: Yes, Friday night and Saturday during the break. Usually the hotel's pool is open until midnight on Friday. However, we are not in control of when the pool closes.  Saturday's breaktime, Courtyard Karaoke & Sing-a-long will be available. 

Question: How do we participate in the Courtyard Karaoke & Sing-a-long during Saturday's breaktime?

Answer: Joyce Poeppelmeyer is preparing for a great time of fun and fellowship during Saturday's breaktime. If you or your group would like to participate, please do the following:

  1. Email the title of your selection to Joyce at memep3@outlook.com.

  2. Practice and prepare in advance to make it the very best!

  3. Bring your CD, flash drive or karaoke song with you to the retreat.

Question: How is seating assigned?

Answer: Seating will be assigned in order of the date your total registration fee is received (that includes payment) and will remain the same throughout the weekend.

Question:  I want to register, but I can't pay right now.

Answer:  You must pay at the same time you register!
