Meet the Council

The Women's Ministries Council works all year long to provide updated information and a unique retreat experience you won't forget! Take a moment to get to know them by reading their bio below.

Cheryl Roland, NEI District Women's Ministry Director

Director? Coordinator? Facilitator? Whatever the title, it is Cheryl Roland's great privilege to work with a committee of incredible women whose highest goal is to glorify the name of Jesus Christ and advance His Kingdom through ministry to women. 

When Cheryl is not planning a ladies event, you can find her teaching a Bible study at Open Heart Home, a shelter for homeless women, or traveling with her husband in ministry across the NEI District. She loves reading, writing, talking, listening, praying and praising God for the awesome privilege of loving and serving Him. 

Cheryl's favorite title is "Grammy" to Bryce, Addie and Joshua who live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Facetime and special visits often include a Double Bubble gum blowing contest, of which she is the queen.

Cassi Alberson, Media and publicity

Cassi is a question-asking, road-trip-loving, roller coaster enthusiast who’s overwhelmed by the love and grace of Jesus! She teaches science and language arts to middle school kids and serves in a variety of roles at her home church, Collett Church of the Nazarene. 

Some of her favorite life moments have included mission trip opportunities with the Northeastern Indiana District, Church of the Nazarene. Her first mission trip was to Volgograd, Russia in 1998 and she was blessed to return to that area with another team in 2012. In 2008, she spent 3 months as a Mission Corps volunteer in Papua New Guinea…what an adventure! 

She's not sure what the Lord has in store for the future, but if it involves a passport and a plane ticket, she's interested! And if it doesn’t, she'll keep right on cheerfully serving Him right where she is.

Deidre Bellamy, Treasurer

Deidre's greatest blessing and joy in life is to be called "Mom"! Deidre and her husband have been married for 25 years, have 3 children and 1 grandson. They savor every moment with family; however, at the same time enjoy being "empty nesters". 

She loves to quilt, read, study God's Word, and "baby" her two Maltese terriers. She has served as a Children's Pastor for 15 years and has a passion to connect children (and adults) with the life-changing power of Jesus! Her favorie verse is "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe." Proverbs 18:10

Jeanette Benbow, Retreat assistant

Jeanette was born in Peoria, Illinois to Revs. Steve and Laura High. She has three brothers: Steven, Patrick, and Thomas. She has three sisters-in-law, three nephews, and six nieces. In 2003, she met her husband, Don, while working at Napa. They were married in 2004 and now have two children, Charles and Laura. Jeanette and her family currently reside in Montpelier, Indiana where they attend Hartford City First Church of the Nazarene. 

Jeanette graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Office Administration. Jeanette has already received her certification as a Microsoft Office Expert Professional. She enjoys curling up with a cup of coffee, blanket and a good book, crocheting, or watching an episode of Matlock.

Natalie Buhro, Banquet room decor

As “Grandma Buhro” Natalie has been blessed with a loving husband of 45 years, Dennis; two adult sons and their wives Brad (Michelle) and Josh (Jessica); 7 grandchildren Brenden, Brett, Bryce, Brock, Mackenzie, Macy, Charlie, and a plethora of cherished friends. Retirement after teaching Middle School Math for 32 years has provided opportunities for Natalie to become more involved at Kendallville CrossPointe Family Church as NMI President, children's Bible Quizzing, volunteer administrative assistant, and in hobbies of jewelry making, floral designs and becoming more involved in the lives of her grandchildren. 

Her life verse sums it up: Ephesians 3:20-21 (NIV) "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!"

Gayle Casteel, Prayer coordinator

Gayle and her husband, Jim, live in Fort Wayne and have two married sons and six precious grandchildren. She enjoys reading, jigsaw puzzles, attending sporting events, a daily walk in the park, Cadbury eggs, a good laugh with fun-loving friends, and spending time with friends and family. Michigan-born and raised, she has been a Christian for over 40 years.

Katie Kemper, Banquet room seating specialist

Katie has been a member of Muncie South Side Nazarene since 2005. She is the church's office manager, and also serves as NYI treasurer, College & Young Adult Ministry Director, Sunday School teacher, women's ministry team member, and praise team member. She graduated from Ivy Tech in 2010 with her associates degree in Accounting. She has recently been accepted to Ball State where she is continuing her education with a degree in Counseling beginning in January. She enjoys reading God’s Word, mentoring young ladies, and leaving notes of encouragement to random strangers. Katie and her husband Brian have been married since 2007 and they reside in Muncie.

Kim Hartman, Bookstore coordinator, video and Facebook

Kim is the wife of Tom Hartman and mother of two adult sons.  Kim and her family have attended Mount Hope Church of the Nazarene since 1993.  Kim serves as the church secretary, projectionist and custodian.  She enjoys being outdoors, fishing, reading and a good cup of coffee.

Chasidy Masters, Hospitality

Chasidy is a wife, mother of 4, and grandmother to her grandson Theo, the greatest blessing in her life!!  She loves to sing praises to her Lord and Savior, read, and craft. Her favorite place to hang out is anywhere warm on the beach.

Chasidy leads worship at the Warren Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene, teaches the teens, and has a real heart for missions.  She is getting ready to start a new chapter in her life as a property manager for 3 apartment complexes.  She is excited and nervous about this new position.  She has never done anything like this before, but she leans on and trusts that she can do all things through Christ who gives her strength! (Philippians 4:13)
